Hola from Managua!

First of all, I just have to say our God is so good! Our first service day was very successful. We were able to start the day together with a time of reflection and prayer, then we headed to our work sites.

The brick making team (affectionately nicknamed The Brickhouse), started clearing their site this morning. They made great progress, and were able to bond as a team, as well as reflect on what they have seen so far in Nicaragua. They worked hard, prayed hard, played hard, and saw the Spirit move…and a lot of dirt move as well!

Over at the medical team, we saw 50 kids today! We were thrilled to be able to see and treat so many children, but we were burdened with the poverty and disease that these kids deal with every single day. Thankfully, we have access to medication here, so we will be able to treat most of the children.

Soon we will post some pics from our brick making team, medical team, and well team. Enjoy!

Pray for strength for our team. Pray for the people of Nicaragua. Pray for our host family. Most importantly, pray for an eternal impact while we’re here.

Day 1 in Managua!

Hello all, this is Kim posting from home. We are having a hard time getting some of the pics uploaded so bare with us until we figure it out! Here's the latest from Chris from day one:

Saturday was travel day for our team. We had no problems getting from Columbia, SC to Atlanta, GA onto Managua Nicaragua. Everyone arrived in one piece, and with all our luggage.

From the airport in Nicaragua, we split into two teams. One team working with Living Water International in Leon, and the other team working in Managua at the Managua Christian Academy.
